Spirit Food
Session Ninety-Six
August 2018
Once you are presented with what the Word of God has to say about an issue, you are responsible for receiving His love, grace, & favor; and the gift of His righteousness. Remember, you are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.
This August, let’s focus on the Full Armor of God!
Ephesians 6:11-12 – “Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
The hierarchy of Satan is: principalities, powers, rulers of the powers of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Sickness can be caused by a spirit of infirmity.
Ephesians 6:13 – “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.”
We can stand because we are on victory ground. We are seated with Christ, we pray from victory, not for victory.
The best way to resist anxious thoughts and worry is to pray in the Spirit.
When you're praying in the Spirit, you're like a fireman putting out a fire; the words come out of your spirit flowing like a river!
Ephesians 6:14 – “Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness.” 1. Girding yourself with the truth
2. The breastplate of righteousness
Ephesians 6:15 – “ As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace.”
3. Your feet shod with the preparation (foundation) of the gospel of peace
4. Shield of faith
5. Helmet of salvation
6. Sword of the Spirit
7. Praying always in the Spirit
Ephesians 6:16 – “With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Quench all of the fiery darts.
Ephesians 6:17 – “Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Take the helmet means receive salvation and all it means; and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God),
Ephesians 6:18 – “Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.”
YLT - says through all prayer - through praying in the Spirit is how you receive a Rama word from God. When you pray in the Spirit, you become sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and God gives a spoken word inside of you.
There's the written word and there's a spoken word, and one will never contradict the other.
Where Ephesians 6:17 calls it a helmet of salvation, 1 Thessalonians 5:8 calls it a hope of salvation. If some Christians have been taught that they can loose their salvation, then there's a hole in their armor. The moment you are not assured that you are saved, you've been deceived.
All the pieces of the armor have to do with the gospel truth, Not Old Covenant truth. See, the Ten Commandments is the truth, but it's the truth for that day and age, which we are no longer under.
Today we have the commandment to love one another as He loves us. (Matthew 22:36-40) Make it personal, the more I find out about how much Jesus loves me, the more I can love others. We must be conscious of the love Jesus has for us.
All this has to do with right believing.
If you’re reading this, but you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, and would like to, pray this prayer out loud in an audible voice:
Heavenly Father, your Word says in Romans 10:9-10- “that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead, that I would be saved. For with the heart one believes unto salvation.” I believe your Word, Heavenly Father, and confess Jesus Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) as Lord of my life now. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess that I was a sinner, but now I’ve been saved by Your grace, and in Your thoughts, I am now in right standing with You. I denounce Satan and all he stands for. In Jesus Name. Amen (so be it).
Congratulations! If this is your first time praying this prayer, please write and let us know!
Should you decide to give and financially support this ministry with gifts given in faith, I join my faith with yours to see the devourer rebuked (Malachi 3:11) and for you to receive a harvest; pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38). Please remember to name your seed!
